.: An important update from Transformed International :.
Over the course of the last year many changes have taken place within TI, and as one of our faithful supporters we are endeavoring to keep you informed and updated on all such changes.
Most significant of these is that Daniel Lipparelli, Founder of Transformed International, officially announced his resignation from his position as International Director effective January 15, 2013. Daniel will be greatly missed as a member of Transformed International. His commitment and integrity is matched by none.
Daniel’s resignation has led us, as the Board of Directors, to soberly and prayerfully consider TI’s future and how to be good stewards of the influence and responsibilities entrusted to us. We have recognized our own limitations and concluded we are not equipped to handle the commitments of TI's fast growing ministries. After much prayer, we have found it in the best interest of TI’s projects and their constituents to transition their care and upkeep to other trustworthy, Kenya-based, non-profits and officially dissolve Transformed International as an organization.
The non-profit organization ReACT will be taking over TI’s home-based care and the Veronica children’s home. Providence Church of Westchester, PA will oversee the continuation of the Neema project. We are blessed to have God’s provision of ReACT and Providence Church to continue what He has started through TI.
Faithful supporters, we want you to know that these decisions were not easy to make and much time was put into the evaluation of all possible avenues. It is the consensus of the board that the dissolution of TI and transfer of projects to ReACT and Providence Church is a step forward and not a failure on the part of TI. Six years ago TI started with a dream and a vision to serve widows and orphans. Each of you became a partner in this vision and as a result we have served hundreds of people in numerous geographic areas. TI’s ministry has been nothing short of a success, and although the name of TI will be ending, the impact of TI and all its supporters will continue to affect the widows and orphans in Kenya for years to come. We believe that the projects TI began will continue to thrive in this setting and achieve even greater success under the leadership of ReAct and Providence Church.
We consider it the final duty of TI to ensure the continued welfare of the widows and orphans the Father has put in our care these past years. Our longstanding personal friendship with ReACT and its founder, Mike Christiensen as well as Faith Wise of Providence Church, have convinced us of their integrity and allows us to relinquish our projects to them with complete confidence and stand behind their discernment and decision making abilities. It is our desire that the transition be as smooth as possible for our sponsors, as the continued support of the children and families TI has had the pleasure of serving is still of the utmost importance. The finances and prayers invested in the lives of those Kenyans in need have not gone unnoticed or been received ungratefully. Each sponsor has been an integral part to the life of a Kenyan. It is our sincere hope that you will continue your support of widows and orphans through ReACT and Providence Church. (See attached page for all other information regarding ReACT, Providence Church and monthly sponsorship transitions)
We thank you again for being a devoted partner with us through this journey and convey our highest gratitude for all of your prayers and financial support.
We look forward to this new season and your continued support.
Sincerest thanks,
U.S. Board of Directors
ReACT
“To rescue and ensure the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children by establishing simple, cost-effective and culturally relevant environments for their care.”
ReACT’s vision is to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable children in Kenya. They are not looking to establish “their own projects” but rather to identify and come alongside local, grassroots initiatives. Since much of what they do has been birthed at a grassroots level, the simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and cultural relevance is maximized.
Their objective is to rescue and defend the interests of orphans and vulnerable children by providing both home based care and access to education.
ReACT has been partnering with Transformed International for the last 6 years. In that time, ReACT has been monthly assisting over 100 orphans as well as sending over 70 mentally and physically disabled Kenyan children to school.
Daniel Lipparelli and ReACT Founder, Mike Christiensen have been friends for over 8 years and have shared much of the same passion for those in need.
For more information about ReACT, you can visit their web page at www.reactkenya.com. We encourage you to visit their website and familiarize yourself with them as an organization.

A Thank You Letter to Daniel Lipparelli
James 1:27: Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
In January of 2003, at the age of 22, Daniel Lipparelli left his home, his job, and his life to travel to Kenya, Africa and seek the adventure God had steadily been putting on his heart. It was this first step and act of faith that would culminate in the formation of Transformed International (TI), over which Daniel would function as Founder and International Director for six years – diligently working to love the hearts of those in need and better their lives.
In this endeavor, with God’s favor, TI undeniably succeeded. The organization has been a part of serving over 100 children in its Community Based Support program along with training numerous widows in micro business skills. The Neema project has changed the lives of over 25 at-risk teen girls and teen mothers and the Veronica Home has provided a safe, loving and thriving environment for 14 HIV positive orphan children. In the local community, TI has been a beacon and example of justice, truth and integrity.
When Jesus spoke of storing up treasures in heaven, treasures that cannot be destroyed with time nor stolen by evil hands, he spoke of actions like these. The lives changed cannot be undone, the hope given will not rust and the love shown will not be forgotten. All of these are at the heart of Christianity, and all of these, through TI, have been achieved.
TI’s influence, as is clear to many, is a direct result of Daniel’s impeccable character and dedicated leadership. This last year we as the U.S. Board of Directors have felt both the sadness of Daniel’s resignation from TI and the joy of seeing God lead him into another great season. Following his marriage to Ashlie and move back to the United States, it became evident that with TI’s flourishing projects and increasing needs, he could no longer volunteer the amount of time required to ensure TI’s continued success. Daniel’s gratitude for the opportunity to serve these past years is equaled only by our own for having been able to serve alongside him in this venture.
We thank you Daniel for all that you have done for those in need, for your fellow believers, and for those who simply saw the compassion of Jesus through you. Your life has inspired many and will undoubtedly continue to do so. We stand by your willingness to follow God’s leading in your life now and are excited to see you and Ashlie begin this new adventure together.
Sincerely,
The TI U.S. Board of Directors |
