BoGo Light

.: BoGo Lights :.

WHAT ARE BOGO LIGHTS?
BoGo lights are simple $30 solar powered flashlights that provide an opportunity for children to read at night, extend school hours and are a efficient tool for everyday use. Thus, these lights provide an easy reliable form of light to an otherwise costly and unreliable solution.

HOW DOES THE CAMPAIGN WORK?
BoGo means "Buy one, give one." For every light(s) you purchase for yourself through Transformed International, a matching light(s) will be donated to TI's projects. When 500 lights are donated, SunNight Solar will pay for the bulk shipment of them to one of our projects in Kenya where we will distribute them to the communities we work with. Not only are these lights a handy thing to have for yourself around the house, outdoors or in the car, but the program is a simple way to make a small but important difference in an orphan or widow's life.

WHY BOGO?
Transformed International is proud to be a part of the BoGo Light Campaign by SunNight Solar of Houston, TX. Today, there are about two billion people, or 1/3 of all humanity, living in the developing world who rely on kerosene lanterns, candles, and single-use battery flashlights for light at night. In fact, many Africans may spend up to 30% of their income on kerosene or other non-renewable light, taking up a significant portion of their potential capital. Not only are these expensive, dangerous, and harmful to the environment, they also negatively impact health, education, and security. These factors only add to the seemingly insurmountable odds so many face everyday. Unfortunately, as a result many children will never learn to read and will their chances of breaking free of the depths of poverty are greatly diminished.
